Live online masterclass · for independent filmmakers
Festivals build your reputation.
Selling online builds your income.
I'm a documentary filmmaker. I still chase festivals and TV sales — and I always will. But I also sell my films directly online, at the same time, as a parallel income stream that takes nothing away from the rest. You build it once, and it keeps running on its own — a system that grows with every film and brand you add, and keeps earning while you sleep. In this masterclass I'll show you exactly how it works — and why it's a win for you and your audience.
$49 · ~60 min live, with real Q&A
The stream you're leaving on the table
Right now, someone wants to watch your film — and can't buy it from you.
Festivals and TV are worth chasing — I still chase both, and always will. But be honest about what each one does: the festival run builds your reputation, a TV sale usually pays once, and both move slowly. Meanwhile the audience that already wants to watch your film — right now — has nowhere to buy it directly from you.
That waiting audience is money left on the table. Serving them directly, in parallel, costs you nothing and takes nothing away from your festival run or your broadcast deals. It's simply a second stream, running at the same time.

You don't just show up. You leave with three things.

Free bonus 1 · The book
Nobody Is Coming to Buy Your Film
How independent filmmakers sell direct, keep the money, and own the audience — on autopilot.
$29 on its ownThis isn't a lead-magnet PDF. It's the entire method, in writing — a working system, not a theory — in three parts:
- The Assets — everything your film needs, gathered once.
- The System — the funnel that sells it, built step by step.
- The Marketing — how the right people find it and buy.

Free bonus 2 · The production framework
The Documentary Production Framework
One tidy structure for the whole film — first idea to years after launch.
$49 on its ownThe exact folder system I run every project in — plus a copy-paste instruction that lets your AI rebuild it for a new film in about a minute.
- 28 folders in the real order you work — development, production, post, then sales
- One home for everything, so you (and any AI you work with) always know where things live
- One paste, and your AI sets up a new project in about a minute
- The complete website package — every asset your sales site needs, sized and named

Free bonus 3 · The complete template
My complete Direct Film Funnel, as a template
The exact system I sell my own films through — pages, checkout, member area, emails — installed on your own site in a few clicks.
$3,500 on its ownThat's what I charge a client to build it. Restore it onto a fresh WordPress site, and your AI assistant swaps in your film. The book walks you through every step. You bring your own Divi and FunnelKit licences; everything else is included.
- The sales page, checkout, order bump, upsell and thank-you page — already wired together
- The Netflix-style member area, and watch pages that open only for buyers
- The email automations — receipt, login, thank-you, review request
- Two files and one click of “Overwrite install” — no developer needed
All three are yours the moment you register — start before we go live, and keep them whether or not you make the session.
The method
The Direct Film Funnel
It's a simple system: a page that takes a stranger who's never heard of your film, lets them watch a free clip, earns their email, and sells them the film directly from you — with the rights and revenue you control staying in your hands, while your festival run and TV conversations carry on untouched. Same system whether you have one film or a whole slate.
I use it for my own films. I've since set it up for other filmmakers too. In the masterclass I walk you through the whole thing, start to finish — no theory, the actual build.
Build it once. It sells your films on its own.
Keep chasing festivals and TV.
Add the stream that pays you directly.
What I'll show you
One hour. The whole map.
How online sales slots in alongside your festival run and TV deals — without stepping on either.
The exact funnel I use to turn a cold stranger into a paying viewer — and then a repeat buyer of your next film.
How to reach the audience that wants your film now — and keep the rights and revenue you control.
The tools I actually use — including the AI that does the technical heavy lifting — what it really costs, and how fast it comes together (less than a single festival submission season).
A whole new way to put AI to work — the same method behind this funnel, and once you've got it you'll use it far beyond selling one film. It quietly changed how I work more than any single tool I use.
What you get for $49

It's $49 — not because I need it, but because I want the room full of filmmakers who'll actually do the work. Bring your film and your skepticism. Worst case, you leave with a plan you can run yourself.

Who's teaching this
Audun Amundsen
I'm a documentary filmmaker from Norway. My films — Newtopia, Click The Link Below and Help, I've Gone Viral! — have earned 40+ festival selections and awards (including a Best International Documentary win and an Oscar-qualifying nomination) and been broadcast on TV in 15+ countries — ARTE, NHK, NRK, SBS and RTBF among them. I'm still chasing festivals and TV sales today, and I always will. But I realised my films could also be earning directly online, at the same time, from the audience already asking where to watch.
And here's what makes this unusual: my film Click The Link Below took me deep inside the world of online marketing. I interviewed Robert Cialdini — author of Influence, the book on persuasion — for the film, and I've met Russell Brunson, the biggest name in sales funnels, in person at his ClickFunnels headquarters and attended his events more than once. You don't have to love how that world sells to learn from it. I took the tactics that genuinely work, left the parts I didn't believe in, and brought them back to film — where almost no one is using them.
So I built my own way to sell films directly to audiences. It worked well enough that other filmmakers started asking me to build it for them. This masterclass is simply me showing you how it's done.
Before you ask
Do I need to be technical?
No — and that's exactly what's changed. Modern AI now handles most of the technical heavy lifting, so a filmmaker with zero coding background can put the whole system together, and put it together fast. I'll show you the exact tools and the exact steps. If wiring it up yourself still isn't your thing, I'll point you to the shortcut.
Will this clash with my festival run or a TV/distribution deal?
No — that's the whole point. Direct sales run in parallel without stepping on festival exclusivity or a broadcast deal, and many deals still leave you the direct-sales rights (we'll cover how to check yours). And where a contract does lock up a territory, you geoblock it — sell everywhere you're free to, switch off the countries you're not. I'll show you how. The single rule that matters most: keep your exclusive TVOD (pay-per-view) rights — never sign those away in a distribution deal, because that direct stream is exactly what this method runs on.
What if I only have one film?
Perfect. The system works exactly the same for one film or a whole slate.
Is this only good for selling films?
No. What you're really learning is modern direct-response, built with today's AI — so the same skills carry straight over to whatever you promote next: your next film, a workshop, a crowdfunder, your mailing list. You're not just building one funnel; you're learning how selling online actually works. And the AI workflow itself is the real prize: a genuinely new, far faster way of working with AI that you can point at almost any project on your desk, not just films.
Why isn't it free?
Because I want the room full of filmmakers who are serious: people willing to do the work, learn a new way of doing things, and keep learning as the tools change. $49 is enough to keep out anyone looking for a free, easy fix — and small enough that it more than pays for itself: you get the book, the framework and the complete funnel template the moment you register. Can't attend live? Register and I'll still send you everything, plus the recording.
